Blue suits you

I felt you before I really saw you. I, a tired and day-dreaming brunette wearing glasses and a brightly-coloured checkered shirt, was sitting on the train to Versailles. You got on at La Defense (if memory serves me) and stood next to me, leaning against the door between two cars. I didn’t know if you were young or old, black or white. All I noticed was the energy around you and your crisp dark blue suit- silk perhaps- that stood out against all the other boring suits I see literally every day on this very busy businessy line. Later you sat down opposite me, but I was too busy ignoring the world around me to get a proper look at you. I got off at Montreuil, and you stayed on the train to Versailles. As I stood in line for the escalator at my stop, I turned my head towards the train and saw you looking out the window. I have no idea what or who you were looking at, but our eyes met and I finally saw your beautiful dark eyes. You didn’t look away, but I felt embarrassed, so I turned my head. I can still remember that look and your wonderful energy. Thank you for making my day.

You will probably never read this, but if you do, please know that I speak and write good French. However, I do not how to deal with people who are unfortunate enough to only understand and speak one language. Except if they’re students. I guess this is a test….. Also, I don’t recall the exact day I saw you. It was a busy week and I was very sleep-deprived.
